ALDAS 7.0.1 due for imminent release

ALDAS, the local authority Adult Learner Data Analysis System we have created, whereby learner information is gathered from colleges and learning providers securely and in an accurate manner, is due for a minor release in the next day or two. This release updates the reports to cope with a new set of Borough area priorities, some minor changes to the figures available on the dashboard and additional feedback on any data filters in place.

Quality and Safeguarding System Phase 2 Under Development

Phase 2 of the system brings together data from across multiple learning providers and colleges highlighting not only safeguarding compliance, but identifying achievement targets, success patterns and areas of risk. The modular system means that dashboards showing statistics are built into everyday software so that staff and organisations are made constantly aware of their performance compared with the average.

We are integrating several database systems for a local authority so that learning providers can not only give their learners the best possible blended learning techniques, but all their data on tutors, learners and courses can be managed online without adding extra workload. Out of this comes graphing capabilities and dashboards to give strategic information to providers and learners and another reason for the VLE to be a day-to-day part of managers' and tutors' activities.
